November 30, 2009 by seanfoxA couple of weeks ago whilst returning home from seeing Muse at the 02, I happened to leave my bag outside a ‘Delice De France’ stall at Victoria Train Station. I was rather ill at the time, my throat was incredibly sore, and I needed a bottle of water before boarding the train home, but in the hurry of it all, the bag was left behind.
Seeing as it was late and the Lost Property office was closed, I waited until the next day to see if anything had been handed in. I realised that the bag contained my camera, iPod, glasses, and most worrying of all… my big furry hat.
The lady the next morning took down the information, and told me that usually theres a 21 day wait to hear back, whether it be good or bad.
So I waited.
Just this weekend I received an email saying that a bag had been found matching my description, and that ALL of the items were still there! – I couldn’t believe it.
So today I went along to reclaim my goods, and wanted to post a little tribute to the extremely kind and honest person who handed it in! …There really are some good people left in the world.
…I FEEL WHOLE AGAIN!
Your Eyes Lie.
November 29, 2009 by seanfoxA few months back I was scouring the internet looking for some unique t-shirts, the sort to make you stand out of the crowd amongst the usual Topshop Indie kids, and stumbled upon ‘Your Eyes Lie’. They have an online store @ www.youreyeslie.com and a store in Camden, with a new store also opening soon in Carnaby Street.
Featuring designs by some amazing illustrators, and not breaking the bank either, it’s definitely a site for the internet ‘bookmarks’ list, and a must for a shopping visit to London.
Project/ImPerfect.
November 29, 2009 by seanfoxA few months ago whilst exhibiting degree work at the D@AD New Blood Show, I met a girl who’s show really caught my attention. Whilst most of the exhibitors were from the U.K, this particular girl had come from the LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore.
Her work was titled ‘Project/imperfect’, and whilst visually stunning, it really grabbed me with it’s strength of content. Based upon a documentation of people’s physical imperfections. The designer, Lim Si Ping, states that;
“The problem about today is that people are inclining towards aesthetic l perfection as the ideal way to get by life easily. Some starve themselves to achieve society’s ideal body, some splurge thousands of dollars on beauty injections, and others go under the knife.”
“We are objectifying ourselves as designed objects.”
“How else can we explain the success of all things related to aesthetics? Fashion, tattoos, beauty products, body piercings and hairstyling. It’s cliche but it’s happening.”
Back when I first saw it months ago, It took me away. The strength of visual, teamed with the eerie, yet relaxing accompanying soundtrack, make it a thought-provoking experience. You can’t help but take a look at yourself, albeit mentally, about how you view yourself, and to what extent you yourself are willing to go in order to achieve aesthetic ‘perfection’.

Jacob Tellinghusen.
November 29, 2009 by seanfoxWas speaking last night in more detail, to a guy I’ve met briefly before. His name is Jacob Tellinghusen, and he’s pretty mental when it comes to music, he’s in 2 bands ‘Go Lotus’ and ‘Silhouette of a Ghost’, as well as working in music production and wanting to jam with anyone who’s up for it!
In his own words, he described his music as;
“My emotional anchor since I was 12.”
“Moving countries all the time, all the emotional s**t involved with being a teenager, needing consistency where it lacked in friends, and a set place to live – I found it in music.”
He’s got a really cool outlook on life, doing anything and everything to chase his dreams, so always nice to help like-minded guys out, so I’ll be helping him come up with an ‘alias’, and whipping some designs together for logos, music artwork and merchandise. So for the mean-time, enjoy his music on his Myspace @ www.myspace.com/jaketellinghusen , and keep your eyes peeled here for the development of our work together.
FIRST ENTRY.
November 24, 2009 by seanfoxAha!
…After a week of tweaking, I have finally got this to work properly, so can now resume filling it with work and other things.
I know this isn’t a ‘real’ website, just a glorified blog. But it kinda serves me a nice purpose, and is something I can easily work with. I have no clue about your HTML codings, or Flash elements, instead I just need something I can use, and that everyone who wants to view it can see.
…Onwards!
